Ok guys im looking for a quick but effective way to create snow bases...i want quite thick snow but also some clumps of grass and rocks..

Well the basic way of doing them is:

Sand the base
Paint the sand in standerd muddy colours (brown ink, bestial, etc)
put a very small amout of scorched grass in patches.
Paint any areas you want to be snow, white.
Then add 2-3 layers of snow flock (depending on thickness wanted)

Relativly basic for the sort of thing that you want.

u can actually get some amazing resin snow from CMoN. its about 3 quid and is awsome. u will still have to paint the bit white but will look awsome, very fines flakes that look more realistic that GW snow flock. also Bicabonate of soda is good, just keep it away from heat-it turns yellow :lol:

and it goes mouldy as we discovered.
possibly steer clear of that one.

thats wat im doing for my SM. it hasn't gone mouldy yet. it whent mouldy becuase it was in intense heat from those lights

Heyyyyyyyy loz, rememberd your password then lol.

I use the Andrea snow, quite exspensive though, Woodland scenics do good snow and you might be able to get it from the toyshop in the arcade, norwich.
