I seem to e having problems assembling some metal figures. Don't think it's the glue because some models are sticking nicely but on others it's as if I'm using water!
Any tips on what I should be doing to resolve this?
make sure the surfaces you are glueing fit into each other - even a tiny raised area will mean they don't connect and the glue will simply not bond them unless you overload on the stuff (and that is a method I've used on occasion.... especially when pinning stuff)
the other thing is that you may need to pin things, especially if the surface area is small and the connecting piece large. nearly all my rackham figures ended up pinned
thirdly, don't use GW superglue. Its rubbish. I normally use loctite or whatever is on the counter at the hardware store next to GW (make sure you aren't using superglue gel btw)
Personnally i have never used anything but GW super glue and have never had a problem with it.
But anyway, first helpful adive is always file the bits that you are gluing togthter as this menas that you have a descent piece of metal for he glue to stick to.
Second if you want to get the glue to stick faster put it under either a fan heater, hair dryer or if all else fails huff hot air on it. (faster it drys the faster it sticks.
Thirdly some times models don't stick first time (just happens) if so refile the area back down to the metal as glue dosen't stick to dry glue.
If all else fails try to find some Zip kicker which is basically some stuff you put on super glue that makes it dry instantly, we had a pot in the shop at one point but it dissappered in the nurgle hell hole that is the basement.

All above advice is sound - filing, pinning, not using too much.
I prefer loctite super glue as well.
If your really struggling a tiny bit of green stuff in the join will help plug any gaps where there'd be no contact - and superglue and green stuff stick together very well almost instantly. You dont want to use much tho or the join will be messy.
