I'll start by saying that I have far too many projects on the go at anyone time to do just one entry justice, so I'll divide them into three groups:

The Iron Kingdoms: This will consist of everything I'm working on for Warmachine and Hordes miniature wise and will contain many "work in pregress" Wink

Scenery elements: All of my current scenery projects will be here - including the (fabled) IK Docks scenery Surprised

Other: The last group will cover any other stuff I'm working on at any given time and will include miniatures from the Infinity range (yes, some of them do have paint on them!), as well as other ranges.

Currently what little spare time I have is divided between finishing My Iron Kingdoms docks scenery and 2 Warmachine forces..

Unlike some chaps on here, my painting/modeling desk does not have a permanenthome and is rather nomadic and usually takes up multiple areas - although after a few incidents I have decided that they need be higher than the dog can reach Surprised - hindsight is wonderfull thing..

Unfortunatly, as I write this I'm at work so I can't add any pictures at the moment, so I'll keep you waiting until the weekend for the visual treats i have lined up.

Signing off

Will

Ok here's what the scenery is based on:

This is my dock scenery at the moment - virtually everything has been built apart from the crane, which I don't think I'll be making anytime soon..

Now for the close ups:

The Cigar shop, I managed to make some good progress on this last weekend and I'm pleased with how it's coming along. Stuff left to do includes: Detail on the doors, glass in the windows (well plastic) some slates on the roof steps, the front sign, guttering and some chimney's (sp?) - I might also base the house on some card/cork tiles at some point for more stability and a few scenic extras

A close up of the painted Cigar advert:

A few pictures of the other building (what there is of it):

A few close ups of the wooden dock sections:

Some rotten sections add make it a bit more precarious to cross!

Close ups of the docking/loading bridge and controls (which will need some more details)..

Lastly a picture of some of the supports - as a side note the reason the sections are all individual rather than long strips, is becuase they will destructable gameplay wise (I've also made some ruined sections).

Close ups of the rocks, dock stone work inlcuding dog hair - that rug was brand new yesterday!

Lastly the sunken ship - so close and yet so far! This was the first piece I started and largly complete, a glue gun would have been have been put to good use here..

Ok that's the lot for today (probably) as it's cut into what little painting time I get..

Will

P.S. It's ok I checked the hob was turned off Very Happy

I've been working on it for at least four months, although probably spending 1 weekend in 3..

I'll be bringing it down the club one night in the new year, it should be completed by then - I managed to have a game on it against Pat on Friday and it worked quite well, it just needs a little fine tuning..

This scenery looks great in "the flesh" and added a whole new dimension to the game (destructable scenery!! Shocked )

looking forward to doing it again
