i am doing a tourny at the club i go to the 'bonecrushers' and the army size is 750pts so far the most effective army list i can think of is:
1 necron lord on destroyer body, phylatery and warscythe
2 squads of 10 warriors
1 monolith

not a bad list acctually.

The only shame about it is the lack of a rez-orb (a staple of 99% of necron forces).

an alternative list would be something along the lines of:

1 lord + rez orb
2* 10 warriors
5 destroyers

just a bit more long range firepower than yours is all.

only problem about that i don't have a tank killer

15 destroyer shots at str 6 with the guass rule will score some glancing, don't worry bout that.

I've seen land raiders taken down with a lot less

yeah i know that but with the destroyers there are only 5 and die quite easilt especially in one squad for instance i wanted two squads of 3 destroyers but couldn't work out a good force with them for my n lord was too weak so if u can think of a way to have two squads of 3 destroyers and a descent lord, i woulcd be very gratefull otherwise it is going to be a very boring game

sadly the points don't allow you to get more than 5 destroyers with the troop sizes you have to take, you would have to reduce your lord to having no equipment at all to do it. (suks a little but thats life im afraid).

You could go for something very different drop the destroyers and have an extra necron and 4 tomb spyders, lots of CC, with the ability to create scarabs as well and not being able to be instant killed.
Yes it is a little random but has proved effective in the past for me.

the whole reason we did the torney at 750pts was so the 3+? necron players couls have a squard of something cool and yet try and shoehorn 3 games in the time we have.
don't forget that necrons weaponary can hurt everything. your monolith has a very large template to place and everythin under the hole is at ap1.
i was thinking this list would come up when me an paul had the test game.

i thought you would have some destroyers as you love them so much.

so how will you be using this list?
